1. Application Form
First, fill out the short form below to sign up for classes. Please make sure that you have read and understand the tutor responsibilities and FAQ
2. Interview
Within 1-2 days of completing the application form, we will contact you to set up a quick and causal 10 minute interview. We'll just have a brief conversation to let us get to know you a bit better as a tutor.
3. Pairing & Info Session
Shortly after your interview, we will reach out to you with an email containing the your student's information, including their name, grade, level, and contact information.
Then, join us for a quick info session with other new tutors. We will introduce you to the organization and get you prepared to start tutoring.
If there are no current students to be paired with you, we will put you on a waitlist and contact you as soon as we have found you a student!
4. Introductory Meeting
Once paired with your student, please reach out as soon as possible to set up a 30 minute introductory meeting with them. It is recommended that you use this time to discuss:
- Time, length, and frequency of lessons. Classes typically meet once a week for 1 hour each time.
- Clarify preferred method of communication
- Student learning goals (What does your student wish to accomplish with their tutor? Is there a specific book such as AOPS which your student prefers to learn from? How do you plan to structure your classes?)
5. Enjoy!
